Dr. Rachel Madera, PT, DPT
Founder and Physical Therapist
Rachel received her Bachelors of Science in Biology from The University of Central Florida and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of South Florida. When Rachel started her journey into health care, pelvic and women’s health was not even on her radar. It was starting her career in outpatient orthopedics and acute care that she quickly realized how many people experienced pelvic floor dysfunction and started to ask for a solution.
She transitioned to specialize in pelvic health and noticed the lack of support for pregnant and postpartum women, causing her to dream of not only a better way, but better care, better support, and faster healing.
Rachel now has over 10 years of direct patient care and is passionate about allowing women to feel supported, cared for, and empowered during their pregnancy and into the fourth trimester.
Rachel is a Tampa native, wife, mother and earth sign through and through. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys gardening, salt water, finding a killer thrift score, and listening to podcasts.
Dr. Rachel Mejia, PT, DPT
Rachel is a Tampa native who earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. Before becoming a physical therapist, she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of South Florida and spent several years as a middle school teacher before following her passion for physical therapy.
Rachel first discovered the value of pelvic floor physical therapy as a patient herself during her first pregnancy and postpartum period. The relief, strength, and awareness she gained during that time were life-changing — and she wants every birthing person to experience the same empowerment and healing.
Now a mom of three, Rachel deeply understands the physical and emotional challenges parents face while carrying and raising little ones.
She’s passionate about empowering patients through knowledge and movement, and believes that pelvic floor therapy is a form of self-care — because you can’t pour from an empty cup!
Beyond her role as a pelvic floor PT, Rachel is a wife, mom of three, and dog lover. She enjoys singing, weight lifting, cycling, and taking naps whenever possible!
